In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and its consequences, working people around the world and across the US are rising up to provide each other with mutual aid, to challenge unsafe and unhealthful working conditions, to demand economic relief and rent and debt forgiveness, to oppose police state and militaristic responses to the crisis, and to organize the unity, solidarity and peoples’ power necessary to shape a better future. Pacifica Radio and its affiliates and allies, radio powered by the people, are providing a platform for those voices and efforts to reach a wider audience at this critical time, as well as 24-hour live coverage of such struggles and demands on May Day – May 1, International Working Peoples’ Day, here on this website, and on the Pacifica Foundation TV channel on YouTube, as well as various audio programs on the Pacifica stations and affiliates.
